The Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) has taken a major step toward digital transformation by introducing a new online payment platform, IBCC ePay, which allows applicants worldwide to pay equivalence-related fees via Visa and MasterCard without visiting banks or physical offices.
The system is designed to facilitate overseas Pakistanis, international students, and foreign degree holders who require IBCC equivalence services for education and employment purposes. With this launch, applicants can now complete their fee payments instantly through a secure online gateway, reducing delays and manual processing errors.

Officials stated that the initiative is part of IBCC’s broader plan to modernize its services and promote paperless governance, making public sector processes more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly. The platform is expected to significantly reduce processing time for applications while improving accessibility for users living outside Pakistan.
The IBCC ePay system has been developed to ensure secure digital transactions, integrating international payment standards to provide a smooth experience for users across different countries. This move also supports the government’s wider vision of expanding digital public services and improving institutional efficiency through technology.
According to IBCC leadership, the system was developed by the organization’s internal technical team, reflecting growing in-house capacity in digital innovation. The platform also reduces dependency on third-party payment channels, helping improve accountability and service reliability.
Officials further emphasized that the new system will help applicants track payments more easily and reduce the need for physical documentation, aligning with global trends in e-governance and digital education services.
