The viral document claims that summer vacations for public and private educational institutions in the summer zone have been extended until August 31, with schools scheduled to reopen on September 1. However, the department has clarified that the circulated notification should not be treated as genuine.
The warning is important because the fake document uses the name and official-looking format of the education department, which could easily mislead students and parents. Authorities have advised the public to verify such announcements before sharing them or making travel and school-related plans.

According to the official Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department, the academic calendar for summer-zone schools already provides for summer vacations from June 1 to August 31, followed by the fall semester from September 1 to December 31 under the current semester system policy.

This makes it especially important for students to rely on the department’s official notifications rather than screenshots and forwarded messages.
Parents and students should therefore check the official KPESE website and verified department channels whenever there is a major announcement about school closures, vacations, or reopening dates.
