PMDC Opens Online Registration for MDCAT 2026

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially launched the online registration portal for MDCAT 2026, allowing students across Pakistan to apply for the country’s mandatory medical and dental entrance test. Thousands of candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS programs are expected to register before the deadline.

According to PMDC, the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 will be held on August 16, 2026, at examination centers across the country. The test is compulsory for students applying to public and private medical and dental colleges.

Candidates have been advised to complete their online registration before July 8, 2026, to avoid paying a late fee. However, students who miss the regular deadline can still submit their applications until July 13, 2026, by paying the prescribed late registration fee.

PMDC has strongly urged applicants to submit their forms well before the deadline instead of waiting until the last day. Heavy traffic on the registration portal close to the closing date may cause delays or technical issues.

The council has also warned students to rely only on the official PMDC website for updates regarding registration, admit cards, examination centers, syllabus, and important announcements. Candidates have been advised not to trust unverified information circulating on social media platforms or unofficial websites.

Students should carefully enter their personal details, upload the required documents, and review their application before final submission. Any incorrect information may create difficulties during the admission process.

The MDCAT remains one of Pakistan’s most competitive entrance examinations, with tens of thousands of candidates appearing every year for limited seats in medical and dental colleges. The exam evaluates students’ knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Logical Reasoning, following the syllabus approved by PMDC.

Candidates are encouraged to begin their preparation early and regularly check official announcements for any updates regarding the examination process. Completing the registration on time is the first step toward securing admission to a recognized medical or dental institution in Pakistan.
