PEC Professional Engineer Exam 2026 Schedule Officially Announced

The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has officially announced the schedule for the 27th Engineering Practice Examination (EPE) Fall 2026, inviting registered engineers from across Pakistan to apply for the certification required to obtain the title of Professional Engineer (PE).

According to the council, the examination will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and will be held in multiple cities to facilitate candidates from different regions. The exam is a mandatory requirement for engineers seeking professional certification under PEC regulations.

The Engineering Practice Examination will be organized in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Swat, Dera Ismail Khan, Karachi, Hyderabad/Jamshoro, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Quetta, Gwadar, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad (AJK).

To be eligible, applicants must be registered engineers who graduated on or after January 15, 2008. Candidates must also have completed at least five years of practical engineering experience after obtaining their PEC registration.

PEC has also made Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements mandatory. Applicants must possess 17 CPD points, including up to 10 points earned through professional work experience and 7 points from approved CPD activities such as workshops, seminars, conferences, or training programs.

The council has allowed candidates who appeared in the 24th, 25th, or 26th Engineering Practice Examination but were unable to clear one section to reapply only for the remaining part, eliminating the need to retake the entire examination.

The examination fee has been fixed at Rs. 5,000 (plus applicable bank charges) for candidates appearing in both parts of the exam. Those attempting only one remaining part will pay Rs. 2,500 along with bank charges.

Interested engineers can submit their applications online through the PEC CPD Portal, where they can also access the official syllabus, examination pattern, sample questions, study material, CPD guidelines, and application instructions before completing the registration process.

The last date to submit online applications is August 15, 2026. PEC has advised eligible engineers to complete their registration well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues and ensure their applications are processed successfully.
