The University of the Punjab (PU) has released the complete admission test schedule for candidates seeking admission to MS, MPhil, MSc Engineering/Hons/Equivalent, and PhD programs. The schedule applies to both Regular and Self-Supporting admissions, allowing applicants to prepare for the next stage of the admission process.
According to the university, written admission tests will be conducted from 20 July to 25 July 2026 across various departments, institutes, schools, and centers. The examinations will be held in two sessions depending on the program. The morning session will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, while the afternoon session will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Candidates have been advised to carefully check the schedule issued by their respective departments to confirm the test date, reporting time, and examination venue. Arriving before the reporting time and carrying a valid CNIC or B-Form, along with the admission slip and other required documents, is recommended to avoid any inconvenience.
In another important update, Punjab University has also announced that admissions for the PhD in English are now open. The program has been added after the publication of the university’s earlier admission advertisement, giving eligible candidates another opportunity to apply for doctoral studies.
Applicants who successfully qualify in the written examination will be invited for the interview phase, which is scheduled to take place from 3 August to 10 August 2026. Interviews will be conducted by the relevant department, institute, school, or college according to the official schedule.
The university has advised all applicants to regularly visit the official Punjab University website and stay in contact with their respective departments for any updates regarding interview dates, venues, merit lists, or additional instructions. Any changes to the schedule will be communicated through official university channels.
