The decision was taken due to administrative reasons, according to an official notification issued by the commission.

The postponed interviews were part of Interview Program No. 86/2026 and included candidates applying for important positions in different government departments. FPSC said that the revised interview schedule will be announced later through its official communication channels.

The affected posts include Administrative Officer, Senior Elementary Teacher, Works Manager, Lecturer, Senior Instructor, Sub-Divisional Forest Officer, System Analyst, and Senior Teacher. These vacancies were advertised for multiple federal institutions and government departments.

The posts are linked with organizations including the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), Pakistan Mint, Federal Government Educational Institutions (FGEI), Directorate General of Special Education, Gilgit-Baltistan Forest Department, and the National Library of Pakistan.

The commission advised candidates affected by the change to stay updated through the official FPSC website and notifications. Applicants will be informed about the new interview dates once the revised schedule is finalized.

FPSC also clarified that interviews being conducted at other examination centres will continue according to the previously announced timetable. Only the interviews scheduled at the Islamabad centre have been affected by the postponement.

The Federal Public Service Commission regularly conducts recruitment processes for BS-16 and above federal government positions, including written tests, screening exams, and interviews. Candidates are advised to regularly check updates to avoid missing any important information regarding their recruitment process.

The postponement is expected to provide the commission with additional time for administrative arrangements while ensuring a smooth and transparent interview process for all applicants.
